3-28-06 It's been a long time since I last posted.  I've been very busy preparing to enter my 2nd year at the Scriptapalooza screenplay competition.  I've only gotten a fragment of the writing done that I wanted to, but nevertheless I'm pushing on to hopefully get a good use of my X-Men and AvP2 scripts in the contest.

11-17-05 Now I posted the Angel of Death screenplay.  I loved it, very dark as I intended it to be.  You can find it here.

11-2-05 Finally I finished it.  It's far from being completely done, and needs a revision, but the rough draft is finished.  It's extremely dark, and the ending is far darker than I think any film has ever done.  I do however plan to write a sequel, I can't just let the hero rot in hell.  It wouldn't fit.  All in all, I liked writing it, and I hope anyone who reads it will also enjoy it.  I'll have it uploaded by tomorrow.

9-23-05 I got a chance to sit down on my latest script, and made some major progress.  I have to say I am thoroughly enjoying writing this script.  It's like making my own comic book.  I have a hero, and his amazing powers.  Now I just need to set the stage, write the action, and get it published up here.

9-14-05 I've made little progress in finding an agent, or finishing my latest script.  I'm hoping to work on finishing it to move onto my next project.

7-16-05 Unfortunately 20th Century Fox has decided not to accept my script for Alien vs. Predator 2.  While this is unfortunate I can only hope they have chosen a script better than mine.  In a way I'm kind of glad, I love the AvP franchise, and enjoyed writing it every second, but I do want to move on to my more original projects.  I recently rented the movie "Spawn," just for kicks, and it brought back a lot of old memories of my younger years when I had seen the comics, and watched the animated series.  I wanted to create a story like that, a young, lost soul come back to his home to find the woman he's loved since he met her wants nothing to do with him, and his bloody past.  He dies, and goes to heaven for a chance to get his revenge.  I call it: The Angel of Death.

6-23-05 Third draft of Alien vs. Predator 2 has been posted!

6-8-05 I have published my fifth script to the internet.  It's based on factual events that happened in the town of Potlatch, Idaho where I used to live.  I think I can safely say it's the strangest piece of work I've ever written.  Nevertheless it was entertaining to write, and hopefully to read.  It's entitled SIN, here's the link: http://elijahrussell.tripod.com/sin.  Enjoy!

5-13-05 Much good news, my business license arrived in the mail today, so now Russell Writings is official.  Also I began my fifth film script, this one being completely original.  As I stated in the About Us page I spent a lot of time in North Idaho, and I got a lot of scary stories that I would like to make into a film.  I was highly inspired by The Sixth Sense, and for a long time have been wanting to write a film like that.  Hopefully I'll have the first draft finished by next month.
